LEONARD BROOKS

PAINTER & MUSICIAN (1911 – 2002)

Official Canadian War Artist during WWII whose work bridged Canadian modernist traditions with the luminous color palettes of Mexico. Master of oil, watercolor, acrylic, collage, and tapestries.

REVA BROOKS

PHOTOGRAPHER (1913 – 2010)

Celebrated internationally as one of the premier female photographers of the 20th century. Her poignant black-and-white portraits captured the human dignity and cultural soul of Mexico.
